Chapter 511: Women And Their Horrible Backstories
Namely, they were Marina, Margarete, Nadia, and Esra, all of whom possessed far different personalities and gave Azmond quite some trouble when they scissored him in the middle with their questions.
Unlike Aya and Thalia, who liked to be around him due to their unknown emotions, Nadia, Margarete, and Esra were far from reaching a point where they felt affection for the man.
Esra was cheeky by nature and often liked to play the seductress, but in the end, she was a pure virgin and was easily taken off guard by Azmond\'s counterattacks to her flirtatious words.
On the other hand, Nadia was more refined and sort of an ice queen, eerily similar to the way Crystalline was before she came into contact with him.
She was a tough nut to crack, but after a few weeks of getting through that icy exterior, Azmond was ultimately able to get her to open up a little bit.
It turned out that she had been enduring quite a lot while in the Celestial Academy, and all she ever wanted was to help her family escape the fate that all females in the AquaRung household ended up with.
That was all Nadia ever wanted, and over the years, the stress that came along with that goal was quite overwhelming for her, which eventually led to her closing off all emotions.
According to Margarete and Marina, she wasn\'t always so cold and distant, as it turned out that Nadia was simply yet another victim of circumstance…
All these women and their horrible backstories…
Azmind was beginning to think that not a single woman he met was truly happy their entire lives, as he spoon-fed Nadia a bit of a delicious strawberry cheesecake while in the teacher\'s lounge.
It turned out that she was quite the fan of sweets, especially the ones that had strawberries in them.
She always became a little shy when Azmond called her taste in food cute, but for some reason, unbeknownst to Nadia, it made her stomach flutter a little when he said those words while only focusing on her…
Nonetheless, after the last two weeks of getting through to the women while completing various Academy-related activities, Margarete, Aya, and Thalia had started to notice a few things within themselves when they looked at Azmond.
It wasn\'t really \'look\' per se, as at this point, they might as well have been outright staring at him whenever they got the chance…
Although it was for two different versions of himself, the point still stood.
Thalia was beginning to take off that silly mask that covered up her divinely beautiful face, while Aya was starting to see Azmond as more than a tool that would get her \'family\' off her back.
On the other hand, Margarete, for the first time in thousands of years, started to open up to a person other than her family and the Empress of the Azure Empire.
And just like her daughter, Marina, she started smiling again.
Smiles that would be capable of brightening up New York City were being flashed by every girl that Azmond decided he ought to \'assist\'.
He was a sucker for strong-willed women who didn\'t understand their own value, and all of them were strong, independent women on the inside.
All Azmond had to do was dig in far enough to uncover those sweet and gooey versions of them that were just looking for a chance to come out!
Which ultimately led to his first Academy Arc turning into nothing more than a grinding session for his Astral Augmenter and Quantum Conqueror Class and a \'Help the beautiful women get back on their feet\' Quest.
And during this entire time, various Academy missions were assigned by the academy, pertaining to going outside of academy grounds and completing a multitude of tasks.
It was through these Academy Quests that Azmond took the opportunity to add all of the women close to him to his Main Party.
Almost every one of them freaked out after feeling their strength go up with each monster they killed, but after all this time together, they had gotten used to all the impossibilities that surrounded Azmond\'s existence.
And after an entire month passed since the Entrance Ceremony, today marked the day that Nadia, along with all those affiliated with the Celestial Academy, would need to return.
It was also a day in which sh*t would go down!
"So… Are we still going to that park today, Azmond?" Nadia asked while linking arms with his left arm.
"..." Azmond looked down at the dark blue-haired woman as he gently caressed her head before responding, "We can\'t. Did you already forget about you needing to head back to your Celestial Academy for the new semester?"
Nadia went silent at his response, as she really didn\'t want to be reminded of the sus pit of corrupt officials and pushy young masters that she was set to depart for within the next few hours.
Although her strength had increased to the Early Mahayana Realm due to some assistance from the Boundless System, she still didn\'t want to go back…
"..." Azmond observed the conflicted expression that the gorgeous woman was making as he reassured her by saying, "You know you aren\'t actually going back, don\'t you? I was just kidding with my earlier words."
"Really?? I don\'t have to go back to the Celestial Academy? But you do know that they have Half-Step Lunar Ascendancy Realm Experts in their midst, don\'t you??" Nadia questioned with an anxious tone.
It was clear that she was worried about the safety of one Mr. Azmond…
And the man in question understood this as well, which was why he put her head to his chest before saying, "Don\'t worry so much about it, my dear. I may not look like it, but Half-Step Lunar Ascendancy Realm Experts are nothing much to me."
"Are you really that much stronger than what you\'ve shown us??" Nadia inquired with a perplexed voice.
She could hardly believe her ears at his words, as even though she was aware that he was ridiculously strong, it was hard to tell exactly how strong he was when no one was near him in strength…
And it wasn\'t like Azmond ever really felt like disclosing his actual power level, so in the end, everyone had their guesses, but that was it...
