Chapter 45: Training
Ezekiel would help them to block with mana and to learn to dodge the spells that she cast.
They practiced for quite some time until they could dodge everything, no matter how tricky they attacked the group would be able to dodge it.
After giving them more time to practice they moved on to the next stage which was gaining resistances.
Since Ezekiel was the only one that could deal Shadow elemental damage they needed him to fuel this section.
Since they would be taking constant damage and require constant healing it gave Hope the perfect training opportunity as well.
They could easily train their skills by helping one another but the only true way to completely defeat her was to battle her again.
It would take time to get all of them to the same resistance level as himself but he knew it was possible.
The thing that he really worried about was how they would handle being covered in consumption and the pain they would suffer.
The first one to volunteer was Shade.
"Now i have to remind you, the pain that you\'ll feel would be worse than anything you\'ve ever experienced."
In response Shade only nodded.
Hope gave him a piece of leather so he could bite down without hurting himself and the training began.
They had gone especially far to help avoid anyone actually hearing this part.
Ezekiel had to keep his spell dealing damage as low as possible to match what Hope could heal but she was getting better at it.
He hadn\'t figured out how to reduce his spell damage to keep it from killing people while training but if he added his own healing aura to hers they would outheal what he did to them.
The main problem was that he knew it could take hours just to gain the resistance skill so to actually level it up they may take all day.
He didn\'t like how this would go at all so he decided to help everyone gain it at once by letting them each train at once.
The other two agreed and got ready to suffer.

While traveling through the city the priests of the church of light held their hands to their chests.
Under their robes were simple symbols of their faith but what they knew was that the symbols held an enchantment that fould sense shadow magic.
The detection radius was small but they could take this time to sniff out the new shadow mana user since these beings inevitably exposed themselves.

In another region of the city the two demon women were walking around again with their crystal held out.
The barbarian was nowhere to be found and the women seemed to be leading the city as if following some kind of pull.

By the dungeon a group of players were watching everyone who passed and had a familiar rogue with them.
"So tell us more about the mage?"
"The bastard has gray skin and black horns, you can\'t miss him. I\'ll make sure he regrets messing with me."

After hours of working with his new team Ezekiel was happy to learn that they had each successfully obtained the shadow resistance skill.
The amount of time that he gave them had even brought it to the Apprentice rank so they would be able to at least resist more than 10% of the damage they took.
During this time Hope had also learned how to harness her life magic to create a temporary regeneration spell aura which would easily help them.
He was excited for the next attempt at the dungeon.
